Small basket with an open weave
Coordinating scraps of yarn (shown with Simply Cotton Sport in Wave Heather, Golden Heather, Green Tea Heather, and Dogwood Heather)
Tapestry needle
Assortment of flowers or insects from the Backyard Garden kit
Instructions
Hold the yarns that you have selected together, and thread then all through a tapestry needle. Use the tapestry needle to weave the yarns under and over across the horizontal weft of your woven basket. Just follow the same path as the horizontal row that you are working on. To hide your yarn ends, go under one of the vertical warp reeds in the basket and cut the ends of your yarn so they are hidden under a reed.
Along the brim of the basket, attach an assortment of flowers or insects from your Backyard Garden kit with a hot glue gun. Fill your basket with blooming flowers, Easter eggs, or yarn!
